Spell Fusion is the intentional sibling of Elemental Reactions. Where reactions improvise — layer elements over time and detonate what's there — fusion is deliberate: a caster combines two different-element spells at once into a single unique spell. It is the third and final pillar of elemental combat: Resonance teaches the weakness, Reactions let you improvise, Fusion lets you author the combo.

The better matchup — and ignoring resistance

A fusion checks both of its elements against the enemy and takes the better one — so a fused spell is never the wrong element. Two fusions go further and ignore resistance entirely: Plasma and Eclipse are the answer to a foe that shrugs off your magic.

The fusion matrix

Every pair of the seven elements fuses. The signature results:

Fire + WaterSteamscald + blind (Dazed)
Fire + EarthMagmapierces armour, leaves Burn

The remaining pairs all fuse too — discover them in play.

How to cast one

Fusion is a caster art (Magician, Warlock, Necromancer). Open the Hotbar editor and use the Spell Fusions builder: pick two known, different-element offensive spells and assemble them into a fusion slot. Firing it spends both spells' MP — a fusion is premium — and casts the unique result.

The Fusion Codex

The first time you land each pairing it's recorded in your Fusion Codex (Character → Fusion Codex) — a 21-entry collection chase showing every fusion you've discovered.

Two hotbars now

To make room for fusions and your full kit, every character now has two ten-slot hotbars. Keys 1–0 fire Bar I; Shift+1–0 fire Bar II. A [ I · II ] toggle on the combat bar swaps which is shown, and the Hotbar editor configures both.
