The realm is full of folk who need things hit, fetched or found — and they pay in gold, EXP and the occasional family heirloom. Here is how to find the work and make sure you actually collect.
NPC Quests
Quest NPCs appear on specific map tiles, indicated by ! (ready) or ? (available) markers. Talk to the NPC to accept the quest, then fulfil the objective — usually defeating a set number of a specific enemy type. Return to the same NPC to claim your reward.
A quest offer. The NPC speaks, then the Objective and Reward are laid out plainly before you accept.
Quest Board
Quest Boards in towns offer a rotating pool of short-term bounty quests. Each board generates 3–7 quests when visited and they expire after 4 hours, at which point a fresh set is generated on your next visit. Each quest requires you to:
Kill a specified enemy type
In a specific area
At a level range matching the quest
Rewards always include EXP and Gold, and both scale to you: the EXP is a tenth of what your next level needs, the gold is derived from it, and neither can fall below the quest’s own preset. The reward is locked to the class that accepted the quest, so it cannot be accepted on one character and claimed on a stronger one. Some quests also award:
Gathering resources (2–6 units of a material)
Essences (for Crystagyn binding)
Quests expire 4 hours after they are generated, whether accepted or not. Accept quests promptly and complete them before the timer runs out. Progress is tracked automatically as you kill qualifying enemies — you do not need to be on the board's map tile while hunting.
Enemy variants (Barbarian, Shield, etc.) still count toward quest kill progress. Use variant enemies to your advantage when questing.
Treasure Maps
Defeating a regular enemy carries a 1 % chance to drop a Tattered Treasure Map. The map points at a random open tile — land, forest, mountain, desert, marshland, river or snow within 15 squares of the kill site. When you stand on the target tile with the map in your bag, a Dig button appears in the world panel. The map itself names the area it points to — a Tattered Treasure Map (Lv 3) · Frostbound Reach lies somewhere in Frostbound Reach, and the exact tile is yours to find. Maps always point to the surface world, even when found below or above it. Digging consumes the map and rewards:
Gold — 5,000g (Tier I) up to 250,000g (Tier V), scaling with the enemy level you got the map from.
One random Essence of matching tier (I–V).
Maps don't expire; you can carry several at once and dig them at your own pace. They don't count toward your bag-size cap.
Beginner Quests
Fresh off the boat? Shepherd Willa waits on the KiRoni Commons (61, 86) — a gentle level 1–30 pasture just outside KiRoni Village where only rats, sheep and slimes roam. Her errands walk you through your first fights and pay your first levels; finish the lot for the Rat-Catcher title.

The Wandering Path (Sub-Class)
Roan the Wayfarer appears on the world map once a character reaches level 50 (an ✦ marker leads to him until the quest is done). His errand unlocks the Sub-Class system account-wide — a second class whose traits support your main. Tracked separately from the ledger below.
Endgame Rites (The Deep War)
One rite opens the endgame system of the Covenant. Undertaken once, from the feature’s own panel (Endgame menu) — there is no map marker.
The Oath Below — unlocks the Covenant. Requires level 1,000 and that the deep has already marked you (corruption 5+ — you must have ventured the Underworld). Undertake it from the Covenant panel to choose your first oath.
Bag Upgrades
These quests permanently enlarge your bag (base 30 slots, hard cap 75). Some are stand-alone errands; some sit inside a zone chain — those also appear in their chain below.

The Contract Master
Every quest-board hunt you claim is a contract. Claim another and your streak grows; each contract pays Contract Marks — 1 to 4 by the kills it asked for — and the streak pays more on its way: +5 on every 5th contract, +15 on every 10th and +75 on every 50th. Nothing is daily and nothing expires; take the boards’ contracts when you like.
Abandoning an accepted contract ends the streak, unless you hold a Writ of Release, which is spent instead. Open the Contract Master from any quest board.

The Provisioners — Gathering Quests
Seven of the realm’s suppliers pay for what you gather rather than what you kill — one for each way of gathering: the six professions (mining, logging, fishing, farming, hunting, foraging) and the tile Gathering Points. Each keeps a line of three quests, 21 in all, that climbs from a common material to a rare one.
Only what you gather while the quest is open counts. Accept first, then gather: the panel and the Quest Log count each unit as it comes in, and a “Quest progress” line follows the strike that found it. Stock you already held does not move the count.
The materials are handed over. The quest takes its count from your stock when you hand it in, so keep that many until then — spend them first and the quest reopens at what you still hold.
The quest tells you where to look. Under the objective is the door and the ground: Mining — Cave tiles (an uncommon find). Rare materials come sooner to a practised hand, as they always do.
Profession lines pay in their own craft. Besides gold and EXP at your own level, a profession quest pays XP in that profession; at skill 50 it banks toward Renown like any other. It is a reward, not a gather: it carries no gathering bonus and fills no gathering objective.

The Realm's Larder — Boardkeeper Aldric at (60, 85), from Lv 100. Finish the last quest of every line (Ore That Drinks the Light, Ironwood, The Glass Fish, Goldenroot, The Dire Hide, Elderbloom, Salt of the Deep) and he has one more thing to say to you: nothing to fetch, only to be spoken to, for the title 🏆 the Provisioner. Until all seven are done he does not appear as a quest giver at all — no card on his tile, no pin on the map; the last quest of each line reminds you what he is waiting for.
