Party System

Crystaria's party system lets up to four adventurers band together to share quest credit, gather progress, EXP & gold bonuses, and a stacking stat buff called the Party Aura. Open the ⚜ Party tab on the Social ▾ dropdown to form, invite, manage, or leave a party.

Forming and Joining

  • Cap of four members — big enough for tank / damage / healer / utility, small enough to keep combat readable.
  • Auto-form on invite — if you are solo and invite someone, the party is created on the same click. No extra step.
  • Invites arrive as a confirm popup on your next chat tick and a persistent chat notice in your All tab with inline Accept / Decline links. Either path resolves the invite cleanly. Invites expire after 5 minutes.
  • Leader handoff — when the leader leaves, the next longest-present member is promoted automatically. When the last member leaves, the party disbands.
  • One party at a time — you can be a member of exactly one party at any given moment.

The Proximity Rule (Within 3 Tiles)

Every shared-party benefit fires as long as a partymate is within 3 tiles of you — measured by king's-move distance, meaning three steps in any direction including diagonals. That gives every member a comfortable 7×7 area to roam within while the bonuses stay live. You no longer need to stand on the exact same tile.

Shared Progress

  • Kill credit — land a killing blow with a partymate in range and the kill ticks story / class / board / daily / weekly objectives for every in-range mate, not just the killer.
  • Gather progress — pull a resource node with a partymate in range and any matching collect quest progresses for both of you. (The resource item itself still belongs only to the gatherer.)
  • +10% Party EXP & Gold — every kill with a partymate in range applies a 10% bonus to the reward, then splits the post-bonus total evenly between the killer and every teammate in range. A duo nets ~55% each, a trio ~36.7%, a quad ~27.5%. Solo grinding is still the most efficient per-kill; party play wins on tempo and shared objectives.

The Party Aura

When at least one partymate is within 3 tiles of you (alive and recently active), the Party Aura fires. It is a stacking percentage to all six base stats — STR / ACC / DEX / DEF / INT / SPI — scaled to the number of distinct classes in range alongside you:

  • Two members, same class → 0% (aura glows but diversity bonus is zero).
  • Two different classes → +2% all stats.
  • Three different classes → +4% all stats.
  • Four different classes → +6% all stats.

Some classes also bring a signature passive whenever they are present in range:

  • Paladin — +3% DEF for the party.
  • Magician — +3% MP regen tick.
  • Death Knight — +1% lifesteal.
  • Necromancer — +1% lifesteal (stacks with Death Knight).
  • Minstrel — +3% SPI for the party (and that's before their Songs).
  • Hexblade — +3% INT for the party.

The Party tab shows a green "☀ Party Aura active" banner with each contributing line item whenever the aura fires for you, so it is never a mystery whether the bonus is live.

Map Glow Cues

  • Green-and-gold glow on your tile — the Party Aura is firing here. At least one partymate is within 3 tiles of you.
  • Soft purple ring on a teammate's tile — that's where they are right now. If their ring sits outside your 3-tile window, drift back into range to pick the bonus up again.

Idle partymates who have not moved or fought in 10 real minutes drop out of the proximity calculation, so an AFK player can't lock the aura on for the rest of you. The moment they move again they snap right back in.

Party Chat

A dedicated ⚜ Party tab joins the chat strip alongside Guild and Sales. Type /p hello team and your party hears it. Party messages also surface in the All feed so you don't need to switch tabs to keep an eye on them. Party chat lives only as long as the party does — disband and the channel goes with it.

Class diversity matters more than raw member count. A duo of two different classes earns the +2% diversity bonus, while a quad of four identical classes earns 0%. Mix classes for the strongest aura.
