History — Monster Bestiary

Every foe you face writes itself into your logbook — portrait, lore, weakness and all. It starts empty and ends as the realm’s finest field guide, written entirely in bruises.
The Monster Bestiary is a personal encyclopaedia that fills in as you explore the world. Every time you kill a new type of enemy, that creature is permanently recorded in your bestiary with its lore, kill count, and the date you first encountered it.
Opening the Bestiary
Open the ☠ Bestiary entry on the Adventure ▾ dropdown in the top nav. Entries are shown in alphabetical order, each displaying:
- The monster's pixel-art sprite
- A lore blurb describing its nature and behaviour
- Your total kill count, colour-coded by milestone (grey / green / gold / bright at 5 / 25 / 100+)
- The date you first encountered it
- Its elemental weakness and resistance, once you have met it
- Its signature skill — revealed only after you have seen it used, with a “skills witnessed” count in the header
The header shows your total entries discovered and your all-time kill count across all recorded species.
Bestiary Achievements
Growing your bestiary unlocks progression achievements:
| Entries | Achievement | Points |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | Curious Mind | 5 pts |
| 25 | Scholar | 20 pts |
| 50 | Naturalist | 50 pts |
| 80 | Cryptozoologist ★ | 200 pts (Rare — chat announce) |
Enemy variants (a Goblin Warrior, a Blight-touched Goblin) are entries of their own, recorded under the name you fought. A complete logbook means the variants too.
