History — Nemesis Mobs
Showing revision from 26 Jun 2026, 08:32 by Patch 2.7.
Nemesis Mobs turn an ordinary monster into a personal antagonist. When a normal foe lands the killing blow on you, it doesn't just despawn — it earns a name, a grudge, and a few levels, and becomes your Nemesis.
The grudge
- Your rival waits on the very tile where it felled you, risen as a beefed-up, named variant ("Goblin the Unkilled").
- Return to that tile and you'll find a crimson Avenge! encounter. Put it down for a revenge reward — gold and bonus EXP scaled to how many times it's bested you.
- Fall to it again and it grows stronger, gains levels, and tallies your defeats. The longer it lives, the deadlier — and the sweeter the payback.
Tracking your rivals
Open Adventure → Rivals to see every Nemesis hunting you: its name, level, trait, how many times it's killed you, and exactly where it lurks so you can go settle the score. Up to three can hunt you at once.
A Nemesis is never a wall — it sits on a single tile you can avoid or out-level. It's a story you choose to chase, not a gate.
