The Echo Wastes (Level 850–1,050) is a silent expanse where reality itself seems to repeat. It's the entry point to Crystaria's frontier content and home to the Mimic class unlock chain.

Town: Shaderest

Shaderest sits at the centre of the zone and is registered on the Waystone Network, so once you've visited once you can teleport straight back. Scholar Erevan (Mimic unlock) and Wanderer Lysara (story quests) are both stationed here.

Enemies

Seven enemy types roam the Wastes: Echo Shade, Phantom Beast, Echo Drake, Wandering Wraith, Hollow Sentinel, Void Stalker, and the ultra-rare The Hollow. Echo absorption rates are doubled across the whole zone, making it the single best place for a Mimic to fill out their Codex.

Gathering: Phantom Ash

The zone's gather line runs Pale Stone → Echo Dust → Phantom Ash → Resonance Crystal → Echo Shard Fragment. Phantom Ash is the key material for Armor Catalysts (Runecrafting) and feeds several Tier 5 Alchemy potions.
