Hotfix · The Realm In Nine Lights
✦ Patch 4.6.2 — Facet

« All Patches
Your login streak was resetting to day one every single day — for everybody, since the feature shipped — so the seventh-day Ascendant Sigils were never once paid to anyone. It is fixed, the Sigils you were owed are in your resources, and your run has been put back where it was. All nine interface themes are now available, and each one brings its own lettering as well as its own colours. The crafting workshop has been rebuilt around one question — what can I actually make? — with search and a Craftable now filter on every bench. Gathering has been evened out, three materials that could not be obtained at all now can be, and when you report something you will get an answer written back to you. Everything below is live.
★ Login Streak
Your streak was resetting to day 1 every dayFixed

It was not your imagination and it was not about how you logged in. The streak counter was being reset to day 1 every single day, for every player, from the moment the feature shipped. Nobody has ever held a streak of 2 on the counter that pays out.

That cost you more than a number. The daily gold scales with the streak up to day seven, so it was stuck at the day-one rate the whole time — and the Ascendant Sigils paid every seventh day could never be reached at all. We are sorry; this one was ours and it was invisible from the outside.

Fixed at the cause, and the debt has been paid. Every account’s attendance was replayed from the realm’s own records and the Sigils it should have paid were worked out day by day: 120 Ascendant Sigils have gone to the 40 players who completed a run of seven, straight into your resources, with a letter in your inbox naming your own numbers. There is nothing to claim.

Your run itself was restored too, which matters as much as the arrears: the counter the fix now trusts read day 1 for almost everyone, so a proven eleven-day run would have started again from nothing. 56 live runs were put back where they belong — the longest of them thirty days. Where the record was ambiguous it was read in the player’s favour.

The streak no longer depends on opening a panelFixed

Separately, the streak shown on Daily Objectives only counted a day if you actually opened that panel. Logging in, playing for an hour and never clicking Daily Objectives broke the run.

Showing up is a fact about logging in, so it is now counted when you log in. One missed day is still forgiven, and both places now agree on the same number.

✶ Themes & Lettering
All nine themes, and each one has its own letteringNew

The five remaining interface themes are in the Curio: Bloodrite (Death Knight crimson), Wildheart (Tamer and Archer forest green), Starfall (Astromancer midnight blue), Corsair (Skypirate daylight) and Fracture (Hexblade magenta). With Amethyst Court and the first three, that is all nine.

They no longer only change colour. Each theme now sets its own lettering — Aetherforge takes machined, technical headings; Sepulchre an old-style serif that carries into its body text; Bloodrite a blunt slab; Corsair open geometric letters; Fracture something tall and loud. The realm reads differently, not just brighter.

Wildheart is the cheapest of the set and Fracture the dearest, priced by how much they announce themselves.

⚒ The Crafting Workshop
Search, and “Craftable now”New

A tier can hold forty recipes and there was no way to ask the only question that matters. Every bench — all seven — now has a search box and a Craftable now filter, with a count of how many match.

Recipes tell you what you are missingNew

Every row used to restate all five or six ingredients, so a full tier printed well over a hundred coloured chips and you had to decode each one. A row now says what you are short of — or ✓ ready when you can make it, or the skill you still need. The full recipe, with your current counts, is on the row itself if you hover it.

Less of everything elseNew

Nine stacked blocks sat above the first recipe. The moon and its numbers are now one line, the bench tabs one line instead of two, and your materials are a single strip you can fold away — with a count of how many you actually hold. The recipe list is considerably taller as a result.

⚲ Gathering & Materials
Three materials could not be obtained at allBalance

Marsh Bug, Phantom Ash and Void Crystal were each mapped to a terrain that had no gathering nodes on it anywhere. They simply could not be collected.

Marsh Bug is the sharpest of the three: it is a required leatherworker ingredient at every band, so a crafting reagent had no source in the game. The marshes, the Echo Wastes and the Blighted Expanse all have nodes now.

River Pearl and Volcanic RockBalance

River Pearl was the one genuinely scarce basic material — players held roughly a fifteenth of what they held of anything else. Rivers are the smallest terrain in the realm and a ribbon you cross rather than walk along, so normal node density on them yielded almost nothing. Rivers now carry more than double the nodes they had.

Volcanic Rock was reported as too thin, and the count was not really the problem: the two largest mid-level mountain ranges had no nodes at all, so anyone levelling through them walked past two hundred mountain tiles and found nothing. Every mountain region now has its own.

Jungle and blight materials are worth somethingNew

Two whole biomes fed no recipe anywhere. Mahogany from the jungle and Corruption Ore from the blight now sit in the leatherworker and armorsmith ladders, replacing materials that were already asked for twice elsewhere. Every gathering tile in the realm now supplies at least one recipe.

✉ Reports
You get an answer written backNew

A report could be marked handled and closed without a word, which told you nothing — least of all whether something was fixed, done differently, or deliberately left alone. Reports can now be answered, and the reply appears on your report in My Reports, marked as coming from the team.

If you file several related things, you can now see which landed and which did not, rather than filing them again to find out.

⚑ Fixes
Menu highlights that did not light upFixed

The gold highlight marking a menu that wants your attention — Objectives with a claim waiting, Friends with unread mail — was being overridden and never appeared. Only the faint pulse behind it survived, which is why it read as broken rather than missing.

And opening a menu by clicking or tapping it left the button unlit, because only hovering was ever treated as selection. On a touchscreen there is no hover at all, so on a phone that was the only behaviour there was: the menu dropped open with nothing looking chosen. Both fixed.
