Crystaria moved off shared hosting onto dedicated hardware. Server answer times fell from hundreds of milliseconds to single digits, the mystery slowdowns at busy hours died with the old building, and long-lived sessions now get an in-game “the realm has been updated” notice whenever a patch lands mid-play — so nobody is left running yesterday's code unknowingly.
The First Steps bonus no longer vanishes at level 5 — it now tapers smoothly across the whole climb to 100: ×3 EXP at level 1 easing to nothing as you arrive, where Momentum ×3 takes over without a seam. Around half the kills the run used to take, applied to every EXP source alike — kills, quests, dungeons, dailies. Your stat panel's First Steps chip shows the live multiplier as it fades.
Removing an Essence at a Crystagyn no longer destroys it outright — it's now a gamble with tier-scaled odds: Tier I survives 90% of the time, down to 25% for Tier V. Prefer certainty? The Crystagyn sells the Essence Extractor, a consumable that recovers any socketed Essence guaranteed. Cheap insurance for precious stones; a coin-flip thrill for the brave.
Attacks in the Shifting Labyrinth and Guild Raids silently did nothing — a fault exposed by the server move's performance work. Fixed at the root; anyone frozen mid-encounter can simply strike again. The Maze Stalkers have been waiting.
Fall in PvP and a 10-minute ward settles over you — you cannot be attacked again while it holds. Attackers see the ward and its remaining time. Starting a fight of your own drops the ward instantly — it protects recovery, never aggression.
Your 3-piece (+10%) and 4-piece (+20%) armour set bonuses were always applying — but nothing ever said so. A green set chip now sits under your Attributes naming the active set and its bonus. Reminder: the four armour pieces count toward the set; raid jewellery and shields are strong on their own stats but don't add pieces.
The guild vault's Materials tab gains a Shared Materials pool: deposit any amount from your personal stockpile, withdraw what the guild grants you. Rank permissions and the audit log cover it exactly like item deposits. Stock the shelves — Skyhold works and war forges run on exactly these.
Seasonal event gear was authored at one fixed level — a curiosity for everyone else. Weapons and armour now arrive at your level (rounded to the nearest 10) with stats drawn from the real gear ladder plus a 10% event premium, and the shop preview shows exactly what you would receive. Event currency is finally worth spending at any depth.
The Talk tab now cycles through English, Français, Deutsch and Español chat rooms — click it again to switch. Each language is its own room, and your choice is remembered. Parlez, sprecht, hablad.
The Talk tab filters System spam by design — but it was also swallowing GM warnings and moderation notices. Staff messages now punch through every tab.
The chat toggle now also lives in the Game menu alongside the floating bottom-right button. Hiding chat hands its full height back to the game panes.
