Your elemental afflictions are no longer just damage-over-time — they're fuel. Strike an enemy that already carries one affliction with a second element and you trigger a Reaction: a burst of bonus damage on top of the hit that set it off. Element order, and the weapons and spells you chain, suddenly matter on every turn.
…and Permafrost, Avalanche, Concuss, Purge and Render — nine reactions in all, each keyed to a different affliction.
Some Reactions can Stun — rob a creature of its very next action. Set up the right element, land the detonation, and you'll buy yourself a free round. A new tool for surviving the fights that used to trade you blow for blow.
The enemy panel now shows the afflictions a foe is carrying — Burning, Chilled, Sundered and the rest — so you can see what's primed and plan the next element to chain a Reaction.
Casters chain elements with spells — but now every class can join in. Brew an Elemental Oil (a new line of Alchemy recipes) and coat your weapon: for two minutes your swings carry that element, applying its affliction and triggering Reactions. Ember, Frost, Stoneblood, Galewind, Stormcharge, Umbral and Radiant oils cover all seven elements.
Reactions read the same weakness / resist and affliction systems you already know — nothing to learn from scratch, just a new layer of depth on top of the combat you've been playing. Reactions are capped so a lucky crit can never one-shot a boss; they reward setup, not just luck.
Make your mark where everyone's looking — in the fight. Skins recolour your battle sprite: go Frostbound blue, Molten red, Shadowclad black, Crimson, Tidal, Spectral, Verdant, or Gilded gold. Wear one at a time and stand out on the field.
Wreathe yourself in power: an Ember, Void, or Radiant aura that glows around your sprite as you fight. A skin and an aura can be worn together — mix and match your look.
Not everything is for sale. A Prismatic skin and a Champion's Aura unlock automatically once you've banked enough achievement points — the first of an earned tier that future systems will keep filling.
Open your Wardrobe at the Curio of Vanities — the same flair merchant who sells nameplates — preview every skin and aura on your own sprite, and unlock the ones you love. More cosmetics will arrive as rewards from future systems; this is just the opening collection.
The whole combat panel has been re-styled. The arena is now cinematic — an edge vignette and a warm ground-spotlight beneath the fighters — and the enemy card is glossier, with a Cinzel name and a glowing threat-coloured HP bar. The same polish runs across overworld, dungeons, raids and player duels.
Your hotbar now sits in a single clean row of ten, directly beneath the arena, where your hands expect it. The redundant in-combat HP/MP bars are gone — your stats are always on the panel beside you — and the combat log is washed with the colour of each blow so it reads at a glance.
