New System New Content Fix
Five times in every class's life, the road forks. The scholar in KiRoni has finally published her work: the Paths of Power — seventy new traits, every one of them a choice. Two adventurers of the same class need never be the same again. Choose your path.
Specialisations — The Paths of Power
Five Crossroads for Every Class New System

At levels 35, 75, 115, 155 and 195, every class now reaches a Crossroads: the trait you've always known, or a brand-new alternative that bends your class in a different direction. 70 new traits across all fourteen classes — a Rogue who becomes the King of Thieves (+12% gold drops), a Death Knight whose Vampiric Runes drink from every strike, a Tamer whose beast learns to hunt alone.

  • Open ⚜ Paths from the Character menu to see all five crossroads — including the ones still ahead of you.
  • Your first pick at each crossroads is free. Existing characters past a crossroads can claim their choices retroactively.
  • Changed your mind? Respec a class's entire path for 1,000 gold per character level — gold sinks are how an economy stays honest.
  • Levelling toward a crossroads? The level-up banner now tells you when one is close, and when one is waiting unclaimed.
Spellcraft & Class Identity
Spell Power Means Power Now New System

Working mages told us the truth: a level 30 spell felt like a level 5 spell with a bigger mana bill. They were right — Power was contributing a rounding error. Rebuilt from the formula up:

  • Every point of Power adds +5% to a spell's damage or healing (it was +1%). A Power 75 spell now hits nearly five times as hard as its Power 5 sibling, not 1.7×.
  • Spell tier bonuses stretch properly across all seven tiers — each rank up is a felt upgrade, not a label.
  • Casting costs for pure casters reduced further — the discount deepens from 25% to 35%.
Meditation — Casters Breathe Between Blows New System

Low-level mana burn is over. Those whose classes live by the Art now recover focus during the fight and on the road:

  • Pure casters (Magician, Warlock) regain 3% of max MP every combat round and 5% per step walked.
  • Magick-aligned classes (Necromancer, Paladin, Minstrel, Tamer) regain half those rates.
  • Martial classes regain nothing — the Art belongs to those who study it.
Borrowed Magic Is Weaker Magic Balance

A Warrior reciting a healing word from a scroll-stand spellbook was out-healing actual healers. No longer — spell potency now respects who's casting:

If you want the real thing, train with the people who invented it — or pick a Path that does.

The World Grows Teeth
Rare Monsters Earn Their Colour New Content

Rare Monsters were spawning at their own minimum level even in endgame zones — a "legendary" beast arriving twenty levels under the local wildlife. Now they rise at the level of the land that spawned them, and the realm-wide announcement states the level so you know what you're signing up for. All nine rares also carry hand-forged signature skills they use eagerly — Bestiary hunters, nine new entries await witnessing.

World Bosses Walk Anywhere New Content

The world boss roster grows to sixteen — from Gorehoof at level 60 to Crystaria's Shadow at level 1,500 — and they no longer keep to old haunts. A world boss can now rise on any wild tile in the realm: forest, desert, mountain, marsh, snowfield. Watch the chat for the summons. Bring friends.

The Altar of Rebirth New Content

A new sanctum where gold can do what nothing else could: change your race. Your stats are re-founded on your new heritage across every class you own, and the realm is told of your rebirth. The Altar's price scales with your power — 2,500 gold per level of your strongest class (minimum 50,000). Rebirth is meant to be felt.

Item Rarity
Every Item Shows Its Colour New System

The realm's entire catalogue — over 1,300 weapons and armour pieces — has been graded into rarity tiers, and an item's name now wears its tier's colour everywhere: shop stock, your bag, the equipment panel, the Auction House, and the loot list after a kill.

TierShare of the catalogue
Common~60% — the honest baseline
Uncommon~25% — a cut above for its level
Rare~10% — worth a second look
Epic~5% — the best of each level bracket
UniqueRare Monster trophies — drop nowhere else
Dark CrystalThe endgame tier. Cannot be bought.

That flash of purple in a victory screen? That's the feature. You'll know it when you see it.

The Great Weapons Audit Fix
  • Rare Monster drops are finally equippable. Every trophy weapon — Soul Reaver, Titan Maul, Tyrant's Horn and the rest — carried a weapon type no class had proficiency in, making them museum pieces for everyone. All nine now bear real types, and copies already in player hands have been repaired.
  • Weapons listed as "Any class" have been assigned their rightful wielders — Crystalscourge to the Hexblade, the Void Hymn Harp to the Minstrel, and more.
  • Archers draw with skill, not muscle — bows now correctly scale with Dexterity. The ranged check had quietly never fired; bowmen were swinging their bows like clubs.
  • The Ashstrike Lance is now, in fact, a spear.
🔧 Combat Flow & Fixes
Loot First, Story Second Fix

"I only just noticed monsters drop items" is a sentence we never want to read again. On a killing blow, the victory banner, EXP, gold, and every drop now appear at the top of the panel — the round-by-round combat log tucks itself underneath, beneath a ☰ Combat Log divider, in the overworld, dungeons, and raids alike. Nothing is lost; the treasure just stopped hiding below it.

Raid Floors Lock Properly Fix

Raid bosses are shared, realm-wide kills — but a respawn bug was letting them be slain over and over by different players at any cadence, each kill quietly opening the stairs. The gate now works as designed:

  • The stairway down opens only while the floor's boss lies dead — whoever struck the blow opened the way for everyone.
  • When the boss respawns (one hour), the floor locks again for the whole realm until someone fells it anew.

Descend while the way is open, or be the one who opens it.

Quality of Life Fix
  • Trial adventurers are now marked with a muted [Trial] tag in the online list — say hello, they might stay.
  • The item detail card shows the item's rarity tier beside its name.
  • Manual updated throughout: Paths of Power, Item Rarity, Meditation, the Altar of Rebirth.
The scholar's ledger of witnessed monster techniques grows thicker by the day.
She has started a second volume. The cover bears a single word: “Soon.”
