This patch overhauls crafting, layers the world's clock with days of the week and an 8-phase moon cycle, and adds class icons to chat — plus a stack of quality-of-life and bug fixes.

The Forge — Crafting Rebuilt Major Feature
Interactive Crafting Mini-Game
Blacksmith, Armorsmith, Leatherworker and Jeweller crafts are no longer one-click events. Each session opens an interactive forge with four resource bars and six actions.
  • Four bars: Progress (fill to 100 % to complete), Quality (determines High Quality outcome), Durability (hit 0 and the craft fails), and CP — Crafting Points.
  • Six actions: Steady Strike, Tempered Strike, Crushing Blow, Polish, Engrave, and Crystal Reforge. Each has its own Progress / Quality / Durability / CP cost profile.
  • Materials are spent at session start. A failed or cancelled craft loses the materials — commit before you click.
  • Alchemy and Culinarian remain one-click brews and cooks since they produce consumables.
High Quality (HQ) Items
Push your Quality bar over the moon phase's HQ threshold and your crafted item is minted as ✶ HQ.
  • All combat stats boosted by +12 %: Strength, Accuracy, Dexterity, Defence, Intelligence, Spirit.
  • Weapon damage / armour rating also +12 %.
  • Vendor value doubled.
  • Crafting skill XP 1.5× from an HQ craft — quality work teaches more.
  • HQ items carry a visible ✶ HQ suffix in your bag and equipment screen.
Crafting Points (CP)
A new resource that gates strategic actions. CP cap = 80 + your crafting skill in that discipline (so 180 at skill 100). Free actions (Steady Strike, Crushing Blow) cost no CP — you can always finish a craft. Touches and Crystal Reforge cost CP, and that's where Quality and recovery live.
Action Failure
Every action except Crystal Reforge can fail. Failed actions still cost CP and Durability — only Progress and Quality are zeroed.
  • Fail rate is based on your comfort gap with the item: how much your skill exceeds the recipe's requirement.
  • Just-met requirement: ~15 % baseline. Comfortable (+30 over): ~5 %. Mastered (+39 over): floor of 2 %.
  • Each button shows its current fail % in red so the risk is visible before you click.
Artisan's Tonic New Potion
A new alchemy recipe at skill 30. Drinking it grants +30 flat CP to the next crafting session you start within 10 minutes. Lets a beginner afford a single Crystal Reforge they couldn't otherwise. The bonus is locked in at session start — the buff timer can expire mid-craft without taking the CP back.
  • Ingredients: Old Relic ×4, Sand Gem ×3, Volcanic Rock ×2, Ice Jewel ×1.
Days of the Week & Moon Phases Major Feature
7-Element Crystaria Week
Every game day is bound to one of the seven spell elements. Casting a spell of today's element grants +15 % damage on top of any tile bonus.

The day name and glyph show next to the in-game clock. Hover for the full tooltip. Bonuses stack additively with tile-element bonuses.
8-Phase Moon Cycle (Crafting)
The moon completes one cycle every 8 real hours. Each phase changes the maths of crafting — Progress, Quality, Durability, and the HQ threshold all shift.
  • Full Moon — the masterwork window. Quality ×1.25, −1 Durability per action, HQ at just 45 %.
  • Waning Crescent — the risky phase. Progress and Quality ×0.95, +1 Durability per action, HQ at 60 %.
  • Other phases lie between, with different Progress / Quality emphases.
The current moon and its modifier summary show prominently at the top of the crafting workshop.
Class Icons & Race Sigils UI
Themed Icons for Every Class
Every class now has a unique glyph and signature colour.

Seven race sigils, also colour-themed:

Icons in Chat, Stats & Profile
Class and race identity is now visible at a glance everywhere it matters.
  • Chat — your class icon prefixes every message you send (regular, /e emote, /m PM, /g guild, /s staff).
  • Stat panel — the Race and Class cells display their sigil in the themed colour.
  • Profile — the Level / Race / Class card uses the full coloured badges.
  • /id PlayerName — lookup result leads with the class icon and race sigil for instant identity.
Chat icons reflect the class you were on when you sent each message. Switching class only changes future messages.
Dual Wield & Class-Change Auto-Strip New
Dual Wield is now a Trait
Wielding a second one-handed weapon in the off-hand is no longer a default ability — it's a class trait.
  • Granted to Rogue and Tamer at level 25 via the new ❖ Dual Wield trait.
  • Other classes are restricted to one weapon plus optional shield.
  • Attempting to dual-wield without the trait shows a clear error message at equip time.
Class-Change Auto-Strip
When you change class, any weapon the new class can't wield is automatically unequipped and returned to your bag — nothing is destroyed. If the new class lacks Dual Wield, the off-hand weapon is also dropped. A summary alert lists exactly what came off so you can re-equip from inventory.
New Land Rare Monsters New
Three Continent-Dwelling Rares
Rare monsters previously spawned only on specialty terrains (snow, marsh, desert). Three new rares now stalk the open continent (Land tiles) where most players actually adventure:
  • Sir Maldros the Forsaken — Fallen Knight of Kironi (~Lv 32). Drops the Oathbreaker Blade and Sundered Plate.
  • Hornhide — The Plains Tyrant (~Lv 38). Drops the Tyrant's Horn 2H weapon and the Hornhide Cuirass.
  • The Hollow King — Crownless Wraith (~Lv 46). Drops the Crownless Scepter with a Hollow Curse unleash and the Tattered Royal Cloak.
Three existing rares (Vexthar, Swamp Titan, Thornwood Ancient) had their terrain coverage expanded to include Land so they can roam beyond their specialty biome too.
Rare Monster Broadcasts Now Work
Rares were spawning correctly but the global chat announcement was failing silently — players had no idea where to look. Broadcasts are restored. Each rare instance is now announced exactly once per spawn, in its signature colour, with the rare's name, title, area and lore.
Dungeons, Raids & the World Map UI
8-Direction Compass
Dungeon and raid movement panels are now a full 3×3 compass — the four cardinals plus all four diagonals, matching the overworld D-pad. Centre cell carries a compass-rose glyph so orientation reads at a glance. Dungeon compass uses a gold theme; raid compass uses violet to keep the two systems visually distinct.
Map Aesthetic Refresh
Dungeon and raid viewports got a polish pass.
  • Themed icons instead of plain ASCII: player, foe, boss, treasure, exit.
  • Distance-fade fog — tiles farther from the player gently dim.
  • Soft glows on player and special tiles, framed in a gold-bordered card with a Cinzel title strip.
Quality of Life New
Revive Returns You to your Safehouse
Clicking Revive after death now automatically teleports you back to your Safehouse and restores HP/MP to full — no separate teleport step. Players who haven't set a custom Safehouse yet are sent to the default starter Safehouse in KiRoni.
10-Minute Idle Logout
For account safety, you are now automatically logged out after 10 minutes of no mouse, keyboard or touch input in the game window. A warning appears at the 9-minute mark. Chat polling and the clock do not count as activity, so the timer fires reliably. Nothing in your bag, bank, or progression is affected.
Updated Game Manual
The manual now covers every new system in this patch, including a full table of moon-phase modifiers, the crafting mini-game action matrix, the comfort-gap failure curve, and the complete class icon / race sigil reference. Find it under the Help link.
Balance Changes Balance
Crafting Fail Rates Rebalanced for New Players
Failure odds previously scaled with your raw skill, which punished beginners attempting level-1 items at 22 % per action. The system now uses a comfort gap: how far your skill exceeds the item's requirement.
  • Skill-0 player crafting a level-1 item: 22 % → 15 % on Steady Strike.
  • Crushing Blow at comfort 0: 33 % → 23 %.
  • Comfortable (+30 over requirement): every action drops to ~5 %.
  • Mastered (+39 over): floor of 2 %.
Lower Durability Costs on Craft Actions
Every action now spends less Durability, giving crafts more room to play with multiple Quality passes.
  • Steady Strike: −6 → −4
  • Tempered Strike: −7 → −5
  • Crushing Blow: −10 → −7
  • Polish: −6 → −4
  • Engrave: −8 → −6
  • Crystal Reforge restore: +25 → +30
A skill-0 player crafting a level-50 item went from 7 affordable Steady Strikes to 11 — enough headroom to attempt HQ rotations without Crystal Reforge.
Bug Fixes Fix
Dungeon Path-Blocked / Unreachable Enemies
Old dungeon enemies could appear on wall tiles, blocking pathing and showing as visible but unreachable monsters. Fixed via an aggressive orphan sweep, spawn-time bounds checks, and a render-time auto-purge. The system now self-heals: any wall-pinned enemy is removed on the next player visit to that instance. Raids received the same defence pass.
"Compass keeps resetting"
The day-of-week and moon-phase badges in the clock area no longer flicker on every player action. The badge content is now rendered server-side and survives every redraw of the stat panel.
Mojibake (â€") in rare monster lore
A double-encoded em-dash in Crystalwing's lore broadcast was rendering as garbled characters in chat. The seed text and any historical chat occurrences have been cleaned automatically.
Apostrophe-Bound Item Names Crashing Crystagyn & Crafting
Items with apostrophes (e.g. Iron Fighter's Chain) caused the Crystagyn essence-binding screen and several crafting dropdowns to fail to load. Every view that interpolates DB names into AJAX-bound HTML has been audited and patched.
Maintenance Mode Now Kicks Active Players
When maintenance mode is enabled, every active session is now automatically logged out within a few seconds — previously, only NEW logins were blocked while existing players kept playing. The 4-second chat poll guarantees a near-instant boot. Players land on the login screen with a clear "Logged out for maintenance" banner.
Item Level Restriction Now Enforced
The manual has always stated "you can only equip items at or below your current level" — but the code wasn't actually enforcing it. Several equip paths happily slotted over-level gear onto under-level characters.
  • Equipping an item with level > your character level is now blocked with a clear message ("This item requires level 80. You are level 47.").
  • Both the manual equip menu and the auto-equip shortcut respect the rule.
  • Switching to a lower-leveled class also drops any over-level items back to your bag (alongside the existing class-restriction and dual-wield strips).
  • One-time sweep: any item already equipped above its level (typically left over from before this rule was enforced) is silently returned to inventory on your next login. Nothing is destroyed; just re-equip something appropriate.
Anti-Cheat Rate Limits & Security Audit Log
Hot endpoints now enforce per-player rate limits (movement, combat, PvP attacks) using session-tracked sub-second timers, so genuine players are never affected. Session fingerprinting (IP + User-Agent hash) is recorded at login and verified on every request to flag account-takeover attempts.
